The film is a very watchable version of William Shakespeare’s play Othello.  It was filmed in Italy.

A story of love, hatred and racism, Othello is a Moorish general in the army. He marries Desdemona which creates ill-will between the soldiers. With malice Iago creates the illusion that Desdemona is unfaithful. Othello kills his wife before he discovers to lie. Once he realizes that he killed his innocent wife, he kills himself.
