A = Affair To Remember

Affair to Remember
1957
Director: Leo McCarey

Cary Grant as Nickie Ferrante
Deborah Kerr as Terry McKay

An Affair to Remember is just a feel good film. The playboy, Nickie meets his match on a cruise ship. He finally finds the love of his life, only to be disappointed when she doesn’t show up at the rendezvous.

Of course, Terry wanted to meet him but was seriously injured on the way to the Empire State Building. Sadly, we hear the sirens of the ambulance in the background as Nickie fades into disappointment.

The movie follows the plot of misunderstanding but redeems with true love’s triumph and plenty of ‘Darling’, ‘oh, Darling.’

An Affair to Remember is not for the squeamish and is clearly a chick flick from the 1950s.

I'm pretty sure this is the version of the story I saw a couple years ago.

Visiting your blog on the 2nd day of the #atozchallenge. What a great movie to use for the letter A. Wasn't it Sleepless In Seattle that there is this great scene watching this movie? Know you will make new friends during this month. Have fun. Interested in gardening? Have time to visit? That's my theme this year. The Challenge is a great experience.
