Nettles

Nettles is most famous for the astringent properties which are used topically to stop bleeding. It's also used to stop nose bleeds and to control heavy menstrual bleeding.

Also known as stinging Nettles, the plant offers iron and potassium when brewed as a tea. Nettles is also recommended for ulcers and other digestive disorders.

A wild weed, it grows typically two feet in height.

I don't have nose bleeds often, thank goodness, but this is a great natural thing to have in case you do!

Stopping by on the A to Z challenge...didn't know this but thinking that it could be useful in my storytelling.

They are so plentiful in our area. I really dislike inadvertently brushing up against them, because they sure do irritate the skin! They are an amazing weed though when handled and processed properly!
