She: What can I do for X?
He: What?
She: Yes, X. I’m finishing up the A to Z Challenge. I’m to X & I don’t know what to write. Augh!
He: Well, don’t use Xylophone. It’s overused.
She: And it sounds like Z not X.
He: And don’t use X-ray; too basic.
She: Agree. But what am I going to write about today?
He: You know we should get rid of X. It’s not useful. It can be replaced by Z or Eks.
She: Everything phonetic, don’t know if that would work?
He: So what are you going to write about?
She: How’s this: ‘X it out’, what do you think?
He: EXIT OUT, what does that have to do with writing?
She: No, X it out, then I could write about editing. X this out, X that out.
He: Mama, you’re funny. No one Xes anything out, they just hit delete.

He's right, you know.
He is, and it's wonderful!
Nice play on words, or letters, I guess I should say. "X"ing it out just feels better than "deleting" something, doesn't it? It's more gratifying, somehow. Great blog - thanks!

X is indeed a challenging letter to think up words for. What a clever way to incorporate that into your post.
HA! Love this post. Thanks for visiting my blog and signing on as a new follower. I'm happy to return the favor.
Crud. Blogger won't let me sign on as a follower right now for some inexplicable reason. Will give it another go later.
funny post and yes, X is a tricky letter. You made it work
What a great post Kate! This was a fun read. :)
I think the only thing X is good for is OXOXOX!
Haha this is so true! The only time I write anything down is in exams and in all fairness, it wouldn't surprise me if they introduced computers into them, one day in the future.
Visiting from She Writes. That last line is just killer. Silly Mama... Yep. Out of the mouths of babes. Loved it, Kate.
Great post. Because as a writer...some times you have to X it out. Have a great weekend.
Cute! Today's kiddos!
Hopping by from A to Z. Here is my A to Z Challenge. I hope you stop by!
From 'U' onwards, Asia has lots to offer.
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a great comment. Kids are our teachers sometimes! Roland
Love this! So cute. I agree with him... X needs to go. It's a tough one! ;)
Have a great weekend!
Good way to talk your way out of using 'X'. Hehe. Thanks for visiting.
